Or you can row against the splits from a previous workout:
- Main Menu
- Select Workout
- ReRow
- Choose the workout to row against
Venue Race Software
A simple graphic display for racing 2 or more Indoor Rowers, the Performance monitors can be wired either with USB or RJ45 cables (PM3s are only compatible with USB so if using a mixture of PM3s and PM4s youmust use all USB cables).
For more information and to download the software and set-up instructions please go to the Venue Race page.
Wireless Racing Between Machines
Only available with PM4 monitors - recommended applications:
- Racing between eight* or fewer indoor rowers
- Impromptu races
- Informal settings where no audience display is required
- Racing without a PC, software, or cables
- Locations where only one race is happening at a time
All PM4s are equipped with an ANT chip, which allows for wireless communication with other PM4s for racing. This is great for impromptu racing and racing between a small number of machines.
*Although wireless racing works with up to eight machines it is recommended that for races with more than 4 Indoor Rowers you use RJ45 cables where possible.
Wired Racing Between Machines
Only available with PM4 monitors - recommended applications:
- Racing between eight or fewer indoor rowers
- Impromptu races
- Informal settings where no audience display is required
- Racing without a PC, software, or cables
- Locations where more than one race is happening at a time, or where other wireless devices (WiFi, Bluetooth, etc.) are in use
- Races during which ANT Heart Rate equipment is in use
- Races where the indoor rowers need to be configured differently than what is outlined for a PC-less, wireless race
RowPro
RowPro is next-generation software for indoor rowing at home or in schools & other institutions, designed exclusively for Concept2 Indoor Rowers by Boston software company Digital Rowing Inc.
RowPro has a 3D graphics display, plus training plans, a 3D coaching clinic, and a built-in rowing log. For more information and to download an evaluation copy of the software please go to the RowPro page.
Using an ANT Chestbelt Whilst Racing
Only available on the PM4. The ANT chest belt uses the same ANT technology the the PM4 monitor does for wireless racing. You can therefore only use an ANT chestbelt when racing using a wired connection directly between PM4 monitors - not when using Venue Race software.
Using a Polar Chestbelt Whilst Racing
Compatible with both the PM3 and PM4 - the Polar chest belt requires a Heart Rate Interface to be plugged into the bottom of the Performance Monitor. The advantage of this over the ANT belt is that you can use it at the same times as Wireless racing but not when using Venue Race software.
