ITV’s The Biggest Loser 2012 final climaxed with its largest ever-combined total weight loss. The eventual winner Kevin McLernon who started out as the biggest loser’s heaviest contestant in the show’s history, weighed in on the first programme at a whopping 32st 2lbs but went on to lose an incredible 12st 2lb with a proven diet and exercise regime over the course of 6 months.

In The Biggest Loser house Kevin was introduced to the Concept2 Indoor Rower, which enabled him to constantly train at comfortable level in order to build up his fitness and stamina without risk of injury. After 8 gruelling weeks on the show, it was now time to continue his exercise programme by himself and his weapon of choice was of course the rower, below he tells us what the Biggest Loser experience was like and how the Indoor Sport Services helped him lose weight.

Weight loss is one of the most popular uses for the Concept2 rowing machine so the link with The Biggest Loser is fantastic, but you don't need Davina and a host of personal trainers to make a huge difference to your weight and health. As such, we thought we'd try and bring together some of the material we've got on weight control. ...So far I have lost 13 stone in 8 months. I still have a long way to go but I am confident that as long as I keep rowing and eating well I will get there...
