Important
Most errors are due to an old version of firmware running on the PM, which Indoor Sport Services are constantly improving and removing bugs from the system. The first step to removing a fault is to download the latest version of firmware and update your PM. You can check and upgrade your PM with help from our software pages.

- 39 Errors - Log Card error - Use LCTU v4.04 to repair the card
- 240 Errors - No handshake between card and PM3 after a row - Upgrade to v97
- Intermittent or No Heart Rate Display - If the interface and chestbelt have been verified as fully working then the PM3 may be running version 61 or below - Upgrade to v97
- Lines missing of whole blocks of the display gone - Failure in manufacture of LCD - Replace LCD
- Blue mark / squiggle on screen - Leak from LCD - Replace LCD
- Menu/Back not working - Build up of dirt under the keypad or a worn keypad or circuit board failure - Replace unit
- Infinite Loop - Confused PM3 - Reset or Replace PM3
- Counts down too quickly - Configured for a Model C but used on a Model D - Re-configure from the LCD contrast menu, press 'change units' 3 times followed by 'change display' 3 times, then select 'change type' leave It on Model D, then select 'set type'
- Not counting down on Model C - Configured for Model D but used on a Model C - See above but re-configure for Model C
- Intermittent count down / no count down - Broken sensor socket / displaced socket from circuit board - Replace or repair unit2
- Log Card not recognised - Log card switch on circuit board failure - Replace unit
- No Power - Dead batteries or Sleep mode - Reset unit or re-seat batteries or replace batteries
- Screen blanks upon log card insertion - Electro Static discharge - Replace unit
- No preset workouts in the Standard list - Confused PM3 - Reset unit
- Draining Batteries Quickly - Circuit board fault - Replace unit
- List by date error - Log Card bug - Use LCTU v4.04 to repair the card
PM4
- 571-1 error - Not enough power in battery pack - charge pack via USB (there is actually a bug in version 14 of the PM4 firmware which stops the battery pack from charging if it falls below 2v, To resolve, upgrade the unit to version 16 using LCTU v4.04
- Suunto T6 does not show HeartRate when rowing - Firmware v14 issue - Upgrade to v16
