Week Two

Posted by Andy McCorkell on the 26th of August 2011

We'll that's week two over, I've been a bit slack on the blog posts this week due to a mountain of work piling up, but with four 50min sessions (30 on the Erg, 20 on a bike) I've made sure that I've not been slacking on the exercise!

After last Friday's session which went so well I walked into the gym on Tuesday thinking I was going to breeze through. Wrong! But I got through and have certainly seen my times getting better day after day. I guess that's the good thing about starting from 'scratch' you get to see a lot of improvement early on, and that's fine by me. Thursday was a tough one but Friday was great, so it all evens out in the end. I even braved the scales this week (below) and had a nice surprise.

The great folks over on the forum have mentioned a few times about posting some stats so here we go:

Tuesday - Total Meters: 5679

500m Split Rate
2:35.2 30
2:39.5 29
2:39.7 29
2:40.2 29
2:38.3 29
2:41.6 29

Wednesday - Total Meters: 5726

500m Split Rate
2:34.9 30
2:38.2 28
2:38.0 28
2:37.7 29
2:40.2 29
2:37.5 30

Thursday - Total Meters: 5705

500m Split Rate
2:36.4 31
2:37.0 30
2:37.3 30
2:40.5 30
2:40.4 31
2:38.0 31

Friday - Total Meters: 5848 Avg Split 2:34.6

And on day 4 due to user error we don't have stats, but luckily I took a shot of the monitor at the end of the session. This was certainly the best row I've done so far!

Monitor

Well that's another week of exercise done and I've also been concentrating on the diet so I thought I'd brave the scales, and I'm glad I did. I've lost 2.5kg. A long way still to go, but not bad for a couple of weeks!

Have a good weekend.

Andy
