Another Southampton 24 Hour Record Attempt!

Posted by Concept2 News on the 21st of March 2011

Following last weeks announcement of 2 24 hour record attempts by Southampton's Solent University students, we now have another attempt due to take place this Wednesday. This time it's the University of Southampton's Will Homer who will be attempting to break the World record in the 20-29 Lwt category. The current record, set only a month ago stands at 263,396m but Will is looking to row a distance closer to 270,000m.

The attempt to break the record is being done in the name of the Male Cancer chairty, Orchid. This is a charity very close to Will's heart and he has done a lot of charity work with them in the past. Will has done various other rowing challenges in the past including rowing across the channel with Blue Peter and rowing around the UK with gbrow.

Will currently rows with the University of Southampton Boat Club and is sponsored by Maximuscle."
