Schools Indoor Rowing League – Round 3

Posted by Concept2 News on the 18th of December 2007

12,236 pupils are now taking part in the Concept2 Schools Indoor Rowing League; this is a phenomenal achievement at the half way stage. But let’s not stop there; together, we can smash last year’s record.

Monday 10th December saw the close of entries for round 3, which included 645 eights and 1769 fours. However the word is spreading and we now have teams entered from Ireland and South Africa, which country will be next?

I think a special mention needs to go out to the 9 teams who have an unbeaten record so far in the 07/08 season. These teams have 300 points a piece but the chasing teams are not far behind, what will the happen to the standings in the second half of the season?

Boy’s Fours * Colmers School IRC (Colmers School) - Yr8 * TRS Four Stars (The Judd School) – Yr9

Boy’s Eights * TRS Eight Stars (The Judd School) – Yr9 * Oakwood (Oakwood Park Grammar) – Yr11 * Rugby Rowers (Colston’s School) – Yr12 * Dorney Staff and Coaches (Dorney) – Teachers and Staff

Girl’s Eights * Danes Hill Girls (Danes Hill School) – Yr6 * Bruton Yr 7 A (Bruton School for Girls) – Yr7 * Great Marlow School 6th Form Girls (Great Marlow) – Yr12
