One Concept2 indoor rower has admitted that her back problems have been helped by a regular workout on the indoor fitness equipment.
Speaking to the South Oregon Mail Tribune, Claudia Law explained how the 7,000 metre slogs have made her feel.
She told the newspaper: "I love it because it makes me feel great, more in tune with my body.
"I don't have the aches and pains I had before. It's head and shoulders above the other workouts I've tried. I've got serious back problems and this alleviates a lot."
Ms Law has been attending a special Concept2 Rowing Challenge at the local Baxter Fitness Solutions gym, run specifically for the over-50s.
Concept2 rowing machines recently made an appearance at the high-profile UK 2012 Paralympic Games trials taking place at Brunel University.
Among the hopefuls trying out for various events was Ryan Chamberlain, reports the Evening Standard, who lost his foot in a car crash prior to being earmarked for the rowing event by his physiotherapist.
