Records, Records, Records!

Posted by Concept2 News on the 22nd of July 2010

What a week for indoor rowing records- with another two British and one World record having been updated on the website today. Roger Brown & Julian Norton completed a 24 hour tandem row in aid of the Herriot Hospice and in the process not only broke the World record with a distance of 364,464m but also raised over £9,000.

Last month Georgina Price of the Forum Flyers broke Carol Woodard's half marathon British record in the 50-59 Lwt category, this week she did it again in the full marathon, beating Anne Yate's previous record by 3 minutes and 6 seconds finishing in 3:07:44.

In a trial run for a record attempt tomorrow Tim Livingstone of Tiffin School rowed 1,248m in 4 minutes to break the J14 British Record by 21m. Not content with having broken the record, the original attempt will still take place tomorrow and could see him go even further.
