Posted by Concept2 News on the 12th of July 2007

Norwich Union the team behind UK Athletics has made over £500,000 available, to be distributed among over 200 grassroots sporting initiatives nationwide. The initiatives will be chosen by voting at http://www.norwichunion.com/joinourteam where details of all the local initiatives can be found. Supporters can register their vote from 3 June 2007 until 16 September 2007 when the final votes will be counted. Below are two School Sports Partnerships who are looking for your support to help them with indoor rowing projects: Tanya Irvine (PDM Central SSP): "Central School Sport Partnership schools in Walthamstow, East London for various reasons have very poor indoor and outdoor PE facilities, but dedicated PE staff that adapt and find solutions to provide their students with many varied PHYSICAL EDUCATION AND SCHOOL SPORT opportunities. "Your vote at http://www.norwichunion.com/joinourteam using the Postcode E10 6JZ or the words Row for Life could help supply a brand new indoor rowing machine to one of the 27 partnership schools. These machines can be adapted for those with special needs including wheelchair users, so are completely inclusive and great for all shapes and sizes. "Thank you so much for supporting us, every child matters and we want to ensure their health and well being." Liz Roberts (Broxtowe SSP Partnership Development Manager): "Broxtowe School Sport Partnership have two initiatives, one around indoor rowing and the other cycling, so it is up to you which one you want to vote for! "To register your vote please go to http://www.norwichunion.com/joinourteam and use the Postcode NG9 3GA, then choose one of the two initiatives you would like to support. "I know it will take a little bit of your time which is so precious but it could make a huge difference to so many young people in Broxtowe. "Thanks for your support."
