Exercise such as indoor rowing can help to relieve stress at work, according to a personal fitness group.
Despite stressed-out executives worrying about job security in the current economic crisis, an increasing number are turning to weight-loss and staying healthy to keep their worries at bay.
New Level Personal Training say they have noticed a sharp rise in their membership base over the last year, with a noticeable rise in the number of executives enrolling in stress management programs.
Managing director of New Level Travis Bell said people are not willing to sacrifice their health even in an economic downturn.
"There's no doubt we're in the midst of a tough economic period but we're finding people are still willing to invest in themselves on a health and fitness level, even though there's a lot less job certainty out there," he said.
As with any regular exercise program, indoor rowing machine workouts can aid in the reduction of stress and anxiety, resulting in both improved physical and mental health.
