Amy McLernon - Biggest Loser runner up - update
Posted by Concept2 News on the 6th of December 2012
So this last month I have been pretty busy getting ready for Christmas and the New Year as I'm sure you all have been too!
I'm pleased to say that I have now finished my level three personal training course and I can't wait to get started in the New Year, it's all very exciting. During my course I and the others had assessments I was paired up with the lovely Paul Sinclair, so Paul had me concentrating on Tabata training (http://tabatatraining.org/?p=18) on the rowing machine! OMG how hard did I find this! I have never done Tabata training on the rower before but my god it's fantastic for a quick workout! He killed me during his assessment! But I will not be beaten and saw this as an opportunity to challenge myself! Bring on the Tabata training and as I have been pretty busy I thought that this kind of training would be brilliant as it's quick but effective. So I have been doing a warm up for five minutes then 20 seconds sprint all out with 10 seconds rest steady state and I repeat this 6 to 8 times, then go steady state for 2 minutes and do it all over again a for a few more rounds! You should seriously try it, as its one tough awesome workout! So big thank you to Paul for thrashing me in that assessment! I may even try Tabata training on the ski erg although I can imagine this to be solid but hey why not!
I really enjoyed the course that I studied with Absorb Fitness. I am going to miss it as I met some lovely people and made some new friends who will also be rocking the fitness world. But I now have my Saturdays free again. So I will be going to early morning boot camp for some tough love with my lovely Personal Trainer and friend Caroline Dixion and then spending the rest of the day with my gorgeous little boy.
My clients have had great success with my online club; one client lost an amazing 11 pounds in one week! I have to say this gave me such a buzz and I was so proud! I really enjoy helping others change their life it's such a rewarding job!
The New Year brings great exciting new things which will be revealed in my blog in January...
So until next time Amy Mac
