2,000m World Records

Three 2,000m world records have been set recently. In Paris, Paul Hendershott of the USA broke Noel Frost's old 60-69 Hwt world record with a new time of 6:27.9. This was Paul's first race in this age category and it'll be a surprise if he doesn't lower that time again in the future. In the Men's 30-39 Lwt, Eskild Ebbesen of Denmark improved his own record to 6:07.1. Perhaps the most impressive, however, was Germany's Karsten Brodowski, who in the Berlin IRC took nearly six seconds of his own J18 Hwt record to set a new mark of 5:47.0.Full British and World records can be found at http://www.therowingcompany.com/racing/records.php
