I've decided to get in training for a Marathon - lunatic I know, but it feels like a good challenge.Clearly, I'd like to raise some money for charity when I do it -- Is there going to be a Sport Relief Row in 2004? - Are you doing a Marathon day again on April 18th 2004 coinciding with theLondon Marathon?- For people with a PM2+ are you planning to link up a Marathon race?- Is there a location where Marathon rowers could gather to race together?- Why not run a Marathon at BIRC? We could plod along in the background whilst the greyhounds hare off in front.-----------------------------------No decision has yet been made regarding another Sport Relief Row. At the moment, all our charity efforts are going towards the Sir Steve Redgrave Charitable Trust (http://www.therowingcompany.com/birc/news.php?story=ssrct_sponsorship). There will, however, be another AXA PPP healthcare National Indoor Rowing Marathon Day on April 18th. After the success of the first two years, this looks set to be a firmly established annual event. Like last year, we'll be encouraging clubs and gyms to set themselves up as 'drop-in' centres, so that people can complete their marathon together. Last year a couple of rowers got together to do a marathon over e-Row, and if that happens again and people organise a time, we'll promote it here and on the Marathon Day web-site (http://www.therowingcompany.com/marathon/) With regards to rowing at the championship, unfortunately there won't be space this year as we're planning on having an extra row of machines. Sorry about that.
