Welsh Hill Walking Nutters

The Welsh Hill Walking Nutters are back. Long-term readers of the IndoorRowing News may remember them from their previous escapades, which haveseen them up rock out the rower up various summits. This time, the squad(Simon Bradley, Alan Gregory, Martin Brown, Amanda Brown, Adele Gregoryand Tracy Porch) has successfully carried an Indoor Rower to the top ofBen Nevis (Scotland), Scafell Pike (England - Lake District), Snowden(Snowdonia, North Wales), Caer Idris (Mid Wales) and Penyafan (SouthWales), rowing on the top of each summit. The challenge started at 10.15pm Thursday June 20th 2002 at Fort Williamin Scotland and finished at 7.30 pm on Saturday evening in the BreconBeacons on June 22nd 2002, taking sixteen and a half hours of actualwalking time spent on the mountains, with the total time from the startat Ben Nevis, being forty five and a half hours crossing the finishingline at the base of PenyafanThe Team would like to thank all their sponsors who are: MasonsIndustrial Roofing, Specialised Cladding Services, Perfect PerformanceProducts, Burnt Tree Van Hire, Black Mountain Mineral Water and ZenithHealth and Fitness Studios and Adva Sign for all their help and support.The challenge was done in aid of in aid of Imperial Cancer and PenygawsiJuniors School, Llantrisant, South Wales.
